ALOHA
Aloha is not just a beautiful word that means ‘hello’ and ‘goodbye’, for us it is more of a spiritual way of being, a lifestyle.
Attitude – Being Positive
Love – Respect & Care
Ohana – Family
Hawaii – The Islands
Appreciation – Grateful
The word Aloha or shooting someone a Shaka is the same thing. A Shaka is sign language for the word Aloha. Here is a detailed explanation of our interpretation . . .
“The word ‘ALOHA’ is a friendly expression. It is all about having a positive Attitude, showing Love by expressing respect and care to others, treating everyone like they are Ohana. It is a word that simply honors Hawaii history and culture. It is a statement of Appreciation that shows that you are grateful and a reminder to all of us how lucky we are to be alive and living in the islands. “
This is our own interpretation of what Aloha means. you will often hear people ask “What does Aloha mean to you? ” To most Aloha simply means ‘hello’ and ‘Goodbye’, but for many in the islands it means much more.
When broken down, the literal translation of the phrase translates to [Alo] meaning ‘presence’ and [Hā] meaning ‘breath.’ Together the word aloha translates to ‘The presence of breath’ or ‘breath of life.’
There are no words to describe the meaning of aloha as there is more to the spirit of the word. Legend says the spirit behind aloha was taught to the Hawaiian children long ago as a way of life embodied in the following acronym:

O: “Oluolu,” meaning agreeable, to be expressed with pleasantness
H: “Haahaa,” meaning humility, to be expressed with modesty
A: “Ahonui,” meaning patience, to be expressed with perseverance
