Whatever ones opinion is about imperialism it still exist and is part of our world history. As my dad likes to say about people who have control over others, ‘somebody has to play the role’. Someone like the queen was born into the situation, in her defense she had very little to do with the position she was placed in. Queen Elizabeth II did her job about as good as it could be done. To do something for 70 years an still be beloved by the majority of people is an amazing achievement. British royalty had a reign whose fairytale time has come and gone, she was the end of an era.
