I can’t stop thinking about Lahaina and all the things I use to do there. One of my first memories is when I was little, I would dress up in my Halloween costume and walk down Front Street and the stores and adults would fill my Foodland bag with candy. I always loved playing under the Banyan Tree and swinging from the low hanging vines. When walking around on Front St I would pop into the Wo Hing Museum and think about what the island was like back during the Sugar Cane days and after playing at the Banyan Tree I would walk around the marina and go visit the Lahaina Heritage Museum and think about what it was like back in the Whaling Days. I just hope kids will again someday walk down Front St at Halloween and that somehow the Banyan Tree recovers, that with time the whole town of Lahaina recovers.
