SURFING SURFRIDER BEACH

Surfing in Malibu is crazy crowded and chaotic, beautiful and amazing all at the same time. I naively thought it was a party wave spot, it’s definitely not that. There seems to be no rules, yet some yell at fellow surfers as if there are rules. Short boards, longboards, the leashed and the non-leashed. Some surfers are stoked, some are pissed off, some gave me the wave, some shoved me off my board. Surfing in Malibu is like zig-zagging in heavy traffic on the 405 freeway. It’s a surf spot that perfectly encapsulates our modern madness…crazy beautiful historic surfing scene.  Malibu is ‘Magical Madness’ I love it!
